METROMATES - NEW DIRECTIONS IN HIV RESEARCH & PREVENTION
The MetroMates study measures the behaviors of men recently tested for HIV infection and their partners. Study participants include men who got a negative result on a recent HIV test and men who recently tested HIV-positive, as well as their partners. The goal is to follow these men for one year to determine how their sexual risk and health behaviors change over time. This information will be key for designing new ways to target HIV risk reduction specifically for men who have sex with men.
